Katie and Kyle… where do I start? From the moment I sat down with them last fall to discuss their wedding, I knew we would be friends. Our mutual love of food and wine was a fast topic of conversation as well as the fact that we had all recently moved to Denver. Their wedding day was one of my favorites, and I shed more than one tear editing their photos – what a day of joy and celebration! I loved how Kyle surprised Katie at the reception by serenading her (and the rest of the guests) with not one, but two songs. Katie surprised her mom by gifting her her bouquet in lieu of a bouquet toss. It was such a fun, special, amazing day and I am so glad I got to be a part of it! Thank you so much to Ashleigh Miller for assisting me all day! Congratulations Katie and Kyle!

Jill and Ryan are getting married later this year here in Denver, but they wanted their engagement session to be in the place that they are living right now – the San Francisco Bay Area. They’re both currently finishing up their residencies to become eye doctors. I made sure to wear my snazziest pair of glasses for the session! We had so much fun exploring the Palace of Fine Arts, patiently waiting for Chinese tourists to get out of our shot and then exploring Chrissy Field with the Golden Gate Bridge to our left and Alcatraz to our right (how romantic!) Congratulations Jill and Ryan, and I look forward to seeing you here in Denver in a few months for your wedding!

Another fun session from DC the other week – I love watching my little clients grow up! It seems like just yesterday that I was photographing Ben’s newborn session. Now he is almost 2, loves running around (he never slows down!) and can’t get enough of heavy machinery. In fact, he was so sad to say goodbye to the “Ditch Witch” that he started blowing it kisses on his way home. It was adorable.
